My work consists primarily of portraits, featuring subjects of known figures with mixed media backgrounds. Inspired by history, pop culture, and everyday life, I aspire to recreate and alter the recognizable. The style I choose to convey is one that has built up over years of studying the work of the Dutch Masters, adding my own elements as I continued to learn more. Paper from magazines, newspapers, articles, and more are featured in many of my works, along with the portraits and remaining elements of background in oil paint.
